R.I.P. Chagga Bileni

Yesterday was Chagga’s last. 

He decided to run the left line on Dutchman alone and with no pfd or helmet. His boat was found last night, his body was found this morning.

Let this please be a lesson for all of you who play on the wave without safety gear because it is so familiar.  Chagga knew that river like the back of his hand – but familiarity breeds contempt. And contempt kills.
